Moringa Tree
Moringa tree is one of the sole genus in the flowering plant family Moringaceae. It is native parts of Asia and Africa. In Tamil language called murungai. Moringa(drumstick) name comes from Murungai. Moringa fruit resumble drummer’s drumsticks.
Some of common names for moringa are
- Drumstick tree (from the long, slender, triangular seed-pods),
- Horseradish tree (from the taste of the moringa roots, which resembles horseradish).
